"Closure" is a joke. The only apology you need is the one you owe yourself for staying as long as you did. The only conversation you need to have and the only person you need to see again is the person in the mirror. Look at yourself and say "You know what, I messed up. My worth is more than that."
That's your closure.

Marriage isn't "I promise to love you until I stop loving you." It's "I promise to make a conscious decision to continue to love you even when it's hard because I'm aware no one is perfect, but you are worth it."
Stop saying that marriage is "just a piece or paper".. so is money. But you still get up every day and work hard for it.

Blood doesn't make a family, y'all. Agree or disagree, that's my thought and opinion. Never stop working on your family dynamic. Work on your relationships, but set healthy boundaries. It'll save you A LOT of heartache.
I hate it when people say, "they're still your family." Just because someone is your family doesn't mean you have to keep them in your life they're toxic. Blood means nothing sometimes.
